Number Meadow: count to ten with Mithi

Number Meadow is a calm little counting game. Mithi shows a group of stars, flowers or apples and asks how many there are. Your child taps each one to count it, hearing the numbers as they go, then chooses the right number from three.

If you pick age 2 or 3 on the home page, the numbers go up to five; otherwise they go up to ten, and the Up to 5 / Up to 10 button in the game switches at any time. Each round has five questions and ends with five stars and a cheer from Mithi.

What your child learns

  • Counting objects from 1 to 10
  • Touching one object for each number (one-to-one counting)
  • Recognising the written numbers 1 to 10
  • That the last number counted tells you how many there are

How to play

  1. Look at the picture and listen to Mithi’s question.
  2. Tap each object to count it; tap it again to un-count it.
  3. Choose the number that matches.
  4. Press Next discovery for the next question.

Play together

Count real things together too: steps on the stairs, apples in the bowl, toes in the bath. Touch each one as you count and ask “so how many?” at the end, just like in the game.

Questions grown-ups ask

How high does Number Meadow count?

Up to ten. If you tell the home page your child is 2 or 3, it keeps the numbers to five, and the Up to 5 / Up to 10 button above the question switches at any time.

Why does it let my child tap each object?

Touching one thing for each number is how young children learn to count reliably, so the game counts aloud with every tap.

Is there a time limit?

No. Children can count, re-count and choose in their own time.
