Mithi Dash: a gentle 3D running game for kids
Mithi is off on a run down a sunny, three-lane meadow path. Swipe left and right to change lanes, swipe up to jump the logs and rocks, swipe down to slide under the bunting, and steer round the smiling carts of hay, apples and pumpkins, catching stars all the way.

Power-ups make every run a little different: a magnet pulls the stars in, a kite lifts Mithi up over everything for a while, and a heart gives back a lost one. A sign every 100 metres shows how far she has come, and Mithi calls out the distance, with rainbow arches to run through along the way.
In Gentle run, bumps only slow Mithi down, so the run lasts as long as your child likes; Three hearts mode ends after three bumps, for children chasing a new best. First-time runners get a coach: the world slows right down before each new kind of obstacle while Mithi says what to do.
What your child learns
- Quick reactions: jump, slide or steer at just the right moment
- Looking ahead and choosing the clear lane
- Left and right, up and down
- Counting in hundreds with the distance signs
- Having another go to beat a best run
How to play
- Pick Gentle run or Three hearts.
- Swipe left or right (or use the arrow keys) to change lanes.
- Swipe up or press space to jump; swipe down or press ↓ to slide.
- Little ones can tap instead: the left or right side steers, the middle jumps.
- Catch the stars and power-ups, and see how far you can run.
Play together
Start in Gentle run and call out what is coming together: “Log, jump!”, “Bunting, slide!”. When a sign goes by, count the hundreds with Mithi, and see if you can beat today’s best run tomorrow.

Questions grown-ups ask
Can a 3-year-old play Mithi Dash?
Yes. In Gentle run, bumps only slow Mithi down, so the run never ends unless your child wants it to, and little ones can tap the left, middle or right of the screen instead of swiping. New players also get a slow-motion coach the first time each kind of obstacle appears.
Is it like other endless runners?
It plays like the running games older children know, but it is made for kids: no adverts, nothing to buy, nobody chasing Mithi, and a gentle mode where no one loses.
What do the power-ups do?
A magnet pulls nearby stars to Mithi, a kite carries her up over everything for a few seconds, and in Three hearts mode a heart gives back one she has lost.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. It runs in the browser with 3D graphics on phones, tablets and computers: swipe or tap on a touch screen, or use the arrow keys and space bar on a keyboard.
