Free fruit puzzle · Ages 3–10
Fruit Merge: drop, match and grow a watermelon
Move the fruit along the top of the jar and let go to drop it. When two of the same fruit touch, they merge into the next fruit up: cherry, strawberry, grape, tangerine, persimmon, apple, pear, peach, pineapple, melon, watermelon and, at the very top, a magic star fruit. Two star fruits burst into a rainbow.

Mithi says each new fruit’s name out loud the first time it appears, and every fruit your child finds goes into the Fruit book, so twelve fruit words come along with the fun. Quick merges one after another make a combo, and bigger fruit score more, counting up 1, 3, 6, 10…
In Gentle mode the game never ends: Mithi nibbles any fruit poking over the top of the jar. In Classic the game ends when the jar overflows, for children who want to chase a high score.
What your child learns
- The names of twelve fruits, from cherry to star fruit
- Putting things in order of size: which fruit comes next?
- Planning where to drop to make a match
- Cause and effect as fruit rolls, stacks and merges
How to play
- Choose Gentle (never ends) or Classic (don’t let the jar overflow).
- Move your finger or mouse to aim, then let go to drop. The arrow keys and space bar work too.
- Drop each fruit next to its twin so the two merge into a bigger fruit.
- Grow a watermelon, then a star fruit, and fill your Fruit book.
Play together
Say the fruit names together as they appear, and talk about which are bigger and which are smaller. Next time you go shopping, hunt for the fruits from the Fruit book. A persimmon or a star fruit makes a fun one to try!

Questions grown-ups ask
Is Fruit Merge like the fruit-dropping games grown-ups play?
Yes, it is the same drop-and-merge idea, made for children: no adverts and nothing to buy, Mithi says each new fruit’s name, and Gentle mode never ends.
Can a 3-year-old play?
Yes. Aiming and dropping needs only one finger, and in Gentle mode there is no way to lose: when the jar gets full, Mithi nibbles the fruit poking over the top and play carries on.
What is the Fruit book?
A picture list of every fruit, from the cherry to the star fruit. Each one fills in the first time your child finds it, so there is always a new fruit to aim for.
How do the points work?
Making a bigger fruit scores more: the points count up 1, 3, 6, 10, 15 from one fruit to the next, so a watermelon is worth far more than a strawberry. Quick merges one after another make a combo that multiplies the points.
